Meet Our Foster Families

Tracy

Foster since 2013

Hi, I'm Tracy, and I'm a proud dog mom to six rescue dogs from Cavalier Rescue Foundation.

My journey with CRF began more than 13 years ago when I decided my first Cavalier, Bentley, needed a friend for his fifth birthday. That's when Gidget joined our family, and she and Bentley became instant best friends. Although they have both since crossed the Rainbow Bridge, they started a relationship with Cavalier Rescue Foundation that has become one of the greatest joys of my life.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of fostering dozens of Cavaliers and, along the way, I've happily foster failed six times. Watching a foster dog find the perfect forever home never gets old. It fills my heart with pride and reminds me why I continue opening my home again and again.

Dogs are truly incredible. They are resilient, forgiving, and ask for so little beyond love and kindness. I feel incredibly grateful to play a small part in helping them learn to trust again, experience unconditional love, and begin the next chapter of their lives with the families they were always meant to find.

The Gavartins

When our family started fostering with Cavalier Rescue Foundation in 2025, we had no idea how many incredible people we would meet along the way. We simply wanted to do something together that would make a difference.

More than a dozen puppies and one very special mill mama pregnancy later, we couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. Watching each dog find a loving forever home reminds us that every adoption makes the world just a little bit brighter.

Fostering has become so much more than opening our home to dogs in need. It’s about giving them a fresh start, helping them learn to trust again, and being a small part of their journey to the families they were always meant to find.

Whitley

Originally from Bloomington, Indiana, I moved to Arizona in 2022 with my husband, Weston. Hoping to meet new people and explore the area, I started pet sitting. That’s when I fell in love with Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. After caring for so many wonderful Cavaliers, we welcomed our own Cavalier, Wanda, into the family.

When I discovered Cavalier Rescue Foundation, I immediately knew I wanted to foster because of its mission and commitment as a nonprofit rescue. Wanda and her big brother, Wally, have become the perfect foster siblings, helping each new dog learn what it means to be part of a loving family and showing them how to become part of the pack.

Allison

Hi, I’m Allison! I live in Scottsdale with my two dogs, Lucy and Willa. I’ve always had a soft spot for animals, and fostering with the Cavalier Rescue Foundation has been an incredibly rewarding experience. Watching each dog gain confidence, learn to trust again, and find their perfect forever family is truly special. I’m so grateful to play a small part in giving these amazing dogs the second chance they deserve.
